I need to remind myself that 2018 was not a wash, but considering that I don’t remember what my word/theme for this past year was, and everything fell apart with my “live my best life” plan in April, 2019 needs to be a fresh start.
I am very excited for my word of the year, as inspired by Gretchen Rubin’s One Word Theme of the Year. I love keeping this close to me, and in 2017, I even had an ornament made marking the year. I grew so much that year, and the theme of “Grow” gave me something to look to.
My theme for 2019 though, is just as abstract, and I hope, will make for a good year.
My word for 2019 is: Move.
I mentioned last year that I had wanted to move out of my current living situation, and unfortunately, moving hasn’t happened…yet. It is going to happen this year. I can feel it in my bones.
What else I can feel on my bones and joints is the 15 pounds I gained stress eating my way from May to September of 2018. It’s been a tough year work wise, and as a result, I just want to move and work out and do things that are good for my body and make me feel good inside and out. I am also in need of moving forward. I have felt a little stuck life wise with career and everything, and I just want to make sure that I MOVE forward.
Ultimately, my life needs to move. I need to move. And I want to be reminded of this daily.
Here’s what I’m using to track my theme of 2019:
This blank bullet journal that is in a bright color:
These adorable kitty pens that are motivating so much of my note taking:
And of course, this book, Your Best Year Ever, by Michael Hyatt, which is rocking my world.
That’s all for today, friends. Do tell me, what is your one word theme for the year? Let me know in a comment below.
Best,
Mehek
Having a theme of the year is such a great idea. If I had to choose a word to represent my year it would be grow. I have confined myself to my comfortable little bubble of life and have decided it’s time to expand. I hope you are able to follow through with your theme. Good luck and Happy New Tear!
Happy New Year! “Grow” is such a great word of the year. I loved it in 2017. All the best to you in 2019!
Thank you and to you as well!!
