Book Review Policy

I do quite a few book reviews on this blog. While a large chunk of the time I review work I bought or borrowed from the library, I sometimes have the privilege and opportunity to review Advanced Readers Copies, or ARC’s, provided to me directly by the author or a publishing company for free in exchange for a review.

Additionally, I have been paid to do book reviews in the past.

With all that said, I promise to provide honest reviews and my honest opinion of books, whether the review is paid for, the book is provided to me for free, or I pick up the book from a shop or the library.

I believe in integrity, and I would never promise a positive review in exchange for a free copy/payment. The author doesn’t benefit from that, and neither do my readers. I feel like I owe it to my small corner of the internet to be honest.

I love book blogging, and it’s a platform that provides me with a creative outlet. But enjoying this mean continuing to be genuine about my feelings. If I hate a book, I’ll tell you. If I love a book, I’ll tell you. And if I think it’s “eh,” I want to tell you that too.

I also want to hear your opinions! I want my reviews and thoughts to be the start of conversations. If I love something, and you hate it, I’d love to hear about it, and the same goes for the opposite. I don’t want this to be a one way conversation with me shouting into the void.

Thank you, as always, for reading my blog!
