As my novel has been placed on the back burner for the last several months, I want to seriously dedicate time to it. I haven’t updated my second draft since the beginning of May, which kind of hurts my heart since this was supposed to be “my year” to work on it.
On top of this, I also haven’t been going to the gym as much as I have wanted to. I realize that I need to make myself a schedule and stick to it.
This schedule can’t be bound by time or commitment, but by how much I am willing to put in.
So here is the plan:
- Work out every day
- Put in time on my book every day.
- Eat healthy every day. No cheats.
What I do every day matters more than what I do once in a while. I say I’ll do it tomorrow, or that I’ll eat healthy tomorrow, or that I’ll whatever. Tomorrow. And tomorrow never comes.
I don’t want to wake up when I’m 45 and still be talking about this book. I don’t want to wake up at 45 and still wheeze when I walk up the stairs.
This is my mission for July. To push my personal projects of valuing my body and my book into reality.
